  • What an incredible afternoon we had today at the Welcome Bay Community Hall for the Sirens and Services: Koha Ice Cream Day! Despite the steady drizzle outside, the hall was absolutely buzzing with keen families, creating a truly heartwarming atmosphere. It was a testament to the incredible spirit of our community that so many turned out, ready to engage and learn, even with the less-than-ideal weather. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYt5tYn6juw

  • The Vector Group Charitable Trust sets itself apart in Te Puke by building community resilience through a powerful combination of youth empowerment, collaborative programs, and a unique focus on kai (food) resilience.

    Strategic collaboration https://www.vectorgroup.org.nz/community-engagement/building-stronger-foundations-the-vector-group-charitable-trusts-power-of-collaboration-in-the-bay-of-plenty/

The Vector Group’s journey began with a fundamental question: “Why do the youth of Te Puke feel a sense of disconnectedness?” Co-founders Stephen and Tracey Fawcett’s research revealed a deep-seated craving for a sense of belonging, a feeling that wasn’t confined by age, ethnicity, or background. This profound understanding became the “why” that informs everything the Trust does. Their vision is to be “invested and to engage the need of belonging with our youth and community, by collaboration and as a creative collective.”
